June’s international friendly against FC Kaiserslautern marks the 12th international friendly contest that MNUFC has hosted. The Loons most recently hosted Everton FC and SC Paderborn 07 in the summer months of 2022. With just 15 minutes remaining in the second half and leading 2-0 it looked like Minnesota United would coast to victory in the MLS Western Conference finals in Seattle on Monday night. (Oct. 31, 2020) – MLS today announced that the Minnesota United match at Sporting Kansas City originally scheduled for Sunday, November 1 at Children’s Mercy Park has been canceled. After confirming one case on Wednesday, a second Minnesota United player was today confirmed positive for COVID-19. Due to the limited number of match dates available prior to Decision Day presented by AT&T, the match will not be rescheduled.
