Opinion: NBA making a bad All-Star game worse

So now the NBA is going to choose sides for the All-Star game? Oh brother….this is not being pro-active, it’s a tried and true failure of an idea…The NFL tried it and went back to AFC v NFC…NHL tried some similar gimmicks and now do 3 on 3..If you can’t convince your players to actually try then just cancel the game. Maybe do a one on one tournament like in the 70’s. A pick-up game format is not the answer. They are merely delaying the inevitable…….cancellation. Vikings exercise option on Anthony Barr

Eden Prairie, MN (May 1, 2017) – The Minnesota Vikings have exercised the fifth-year option on LBAnthony Barr.   Barr has started all 42 games in which he has appeared and helped lead the NFL’s 3rd-ranked defense (314.9 ypg) in 2016. The ninth overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, Barr has been selected to the Pro Bowl each of the past two seasons and has collected 270 career tackles along with 9.5 sacks and 14 TFLs.
