Vikings’ Sendejo suspended one game for violent hit

ANDREW SENDEJO of the Minnesota Vikings has been suspended without pay for one game for a violation of safety-related playing rules in Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. NFL Vice President of Football Operations JON RUNYAN issued the suspension for a violation of Rule 12, Section 2, Article 6 (i) which states that “there shall be no unnecessary roughness. With an injured Sam Bradford on the sidelines, the Minnesota Vikings looked nothing like the team that hammered the Saints last Monday, losing to the Steelers 26-9 today in Pittsburgh. Minnesota was penalized 11 times for 131 yards in today’s undoing against the Steelers. No word on how long Bradford will be out, or if he will be available for next week’s game against Tampa Bay.
