PAUL, MN – Minnesota Twins legends Tony Oliva and Jim Kaat have been elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Golden Days Era Committee, as announced by the Hall of Fame this evening. Oliva received 12 votes (75%) of the 16 ballots to win election and Kaat received 12 votes (75%) of the 16 ballots. Garlick has played in 36 games this season, hitting .232 (23-for-99) with eight doubles, five home runs, 10 RBI, 17 runs scored, six walks and a .745 OPS. Minnesota Twins reliever Tyler Duffey has received a three-game suspension and an undisclosed fine for intentionally throwing a pitch behind Yermín Mercedes of the Chicago White Sox during the top of the seventh inning of Tuesday night’s game at Target Field.  Michael Hill, Major League Baseball’s Senior Vice President for On-Field Operations, made the announcement. New guidelines from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced this morning will allow up to 10-thousand fans at Minnesota Twins homes game beginning in April.
