Edina tightens grip on #1 AA boys hockey ranking

Following their 3-1 victory over second ranked Minnetonka on Saturday, Edina remains as the top ranked team according to the latest Let’s Play Hockey poll in boys Class AA, receivi ng all 10 first place votes. Hermantown is again #1 in Class A, also garnering all 10 first place votes. St. Cloud State still #1 on heels of Saturday comeback

St. Cloud State still #1 despite loss to North Dakota

St. Cloud State’s men’s hockey team retained its #1 ranking in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey poll despite dropping a 5-1 decision to the University of North Dakota on Saturday night. Tbe Huskies got a split of the weekend series, winning 3-1 on Friday at Grand Forks. This is the 9th time this season that St.Cloud State has held the top spot in the poll. Wild Goalie Devan Dubnyk Named NHL Third Star of the Week

Devan Dubnyk, who represented the Central Division at the 2019 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend  and earned two wins for the Wild (26-21-3, 55 points), compiling a 2.00 goals-against average and .926 save percentage in two starts has been named the 3rd Star of the Week in the NHL. Dubnyk made 30 saves in a 4-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights Jan. 21, followed by 20 stops in a 5-2 triumph against the Colorado Avalanche Jan. 23. Men’s Hockey: Badgers edge Gophers 4-3

MINNEAPOLIS – A 3M Arena at Mariucci record crowd was on hand for a back-and-forth battle between Gopher Hockey and Wisconsin as the Badgers edged Minnesota 4-3 on Saturday night in this weekend’s Border Battle finale. With an attendance of 10,686 fans on hand, the series finale broke a 14-year old facility record when 10,587 fans turned out to watch Minnesota and Wisconsin battle on Nov. 6, 2004.
