Josh Okogie to Represent Timberwolves in 2020 NBA Rising Stars Challenge

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The NBA today announced that Minnesota Timberwolves sophomore Josh Okogie has been selected to represent the team in the 2020 NBA Rising Stars game. Okogie will make his second-straight appearance on Team World. In his second NBA season, Okogie is averaging 8.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 45 games. In the 2019 NBA Rising Stars game, Okogie scored 13 points, on 6-of-10 from the field and added four rebounds and four assists as Team USA defeated Team World 161-144. When the term “March Madness” came into being, it was generally in reference to the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. The Gopher men’s basketball team got 21 points from sophomore Marcus Carr including a gamewinning three pointer with three seconds to go as Minnesota went on to a 62-59 win over the Buckeyes in Columbus. Wolves trade Teague, Graham to Atlanta

Minneapolis-St. Paul – Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas today announced the team has acquired guard Allen Crabbe from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for guards Jeff Teague and Treveon Graham. Teague, 31, was signed as a free agent by the Timberwolves on July 10, 2017. In two-plus seasons with Minnesota, Teague averaged 13.4 points and 7.1 assists in 146 games. Crabbe, 27, has appeared in 372 regular season games (113 starts) in parts of seven NBA seasons with Atlanta, Brooklyn and Portland, posting career averages of 9.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game.
