The Abilene, Texas, native has thrown for 5,224 yards and 24 TDs on 777 attempts (58.4 percent) in 26 games (24 starts – 14 with the Rams and 10 with the Texans) since entering the league in 2012. During the 2014 campaign, Keenum spent Weeks 1-15 with the Rams during Sam Bradford’s final season in St. Louis.

The University of Houston product signed with the Texans as a rookie free agent after a prolific college career in which he became the NCAA’s all-time passing leader with 19,217 yards and 155 touchdowns. The former Cougar quarterback twice earned the Sammy Baugh Trophy (2009 and 2011), awarded annually to the nation’s top college passer, and is one of just two players in NCAA history to register multiple 5,000-yard passing seasons.

Keenum is now one of seven Vikings to hail from Texas: Danielle Hunter (Katy), Cayleb Jones (Austin), David Morgan (Marble Falls), Brian Robison (Splendora), Andrew Sendejo (San Antonio) and Taylor Symmank (Richardson).
