Wild’s Dubnyk named NHL #2 star

Minnesota Wild Goalie Devan Dubnyk was named the NHL’s number two star for the week ending October 30. Dubnyk was flawless, denying all 94 shots against in three starts to lead the Wild (6-2-1, 13 points) to a 3-0-0 week and first place in the Central Division. He made 27 saves in a 5-0 win over the Boston Bruins Oct. 25, 38 saves in a 4-0 victory over the Buffalo Sabres Oct. 27 and 29 saves in a 4-0 triumph over the Dallas Stars Oct. 29. St.Cloud State comeback tops Gophers

  MINNEAPOLIS – A third period rally by No. 14 St. Cloud State spoiled the 2016-17 home opener for the No. 7 Gopher Hockey program as the Huskies notched a 6-5 overtime victory on Friday night at Mariucci Arena.   Tyler Sheehy notched his third multi-point game in three contests this season with a goal and two assists in the loss. We’re nearly two decades and two 2-term presidents into the 21st Century. A traumatic terrorist attack has changed our society forever and the Millennial Generation has come of age. On a far less serious and more local note, dozens of talented athletes have made their way to and from Minnesota. So, it’s not too early to wonder who has been the most significant and impactful; whose legacy will matter most. An argument could be made for Joe Mauer or possibly Adrian Peterson. Gophers extend Lucia’s contract through 2018-19
