Eden Prairie, MN (December 30, 2015) – Minnesota Vikings K Blair Walsh was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Weekafter booting the Vikings into the playoffs, while connecting on 5-of-5 FGs, including two 50+ yard FGs in Minnesota’s 49-17 win over the New York Giants. This marks the 5th time in Walsh’s career that he has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the most in Vikings history. Peterson is Vikes lone Pro Bowl rep

Eden Prairie, MN – Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has been selected by players, fans and coaches to the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl.  (photo by Marilyn Indahl) Peterson currently ranks first in the NFL in rushing with 1,314 yards and is tied for 3rd in the league with 9 rushing scores. His 9-yard rushing touchdown at Arizona (12/10) gave him 100 career total touchdowns, the 2nd most in Vikings history. Timberwolves recall Tyus Jones from D-League

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the club has recalled rookie guard Tyus Jones from the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League. In six games, all starts, for Idaho, Jones averaged 24.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 35.2 minutes per game. He shot 48.7 percent from the floor, including a 42.6 percent mark from three-point range during his stint with the Stampede. In his final game before being recalled, Jones scored 30 points while adding five rebounds and five assists. Minnesota Wild captain Mikko Koivu has been named the NHL’s third star of the week for his play this past week. Koivu tied for first in the NHL with 3-5—8 in three games to lift the Wild (17-8-6, 40 points) to a pair of wins.
