In three games during the month of October, Kendricks posted 20 total tackles, 4.0 sacks, 5 TFLs and 5 QBH. Jerry Kill steps down at U of M

University of Minnesota head football coach Jerry Kill announced today that he is retiring from his position effective immediately due to medical concerns. Kill is stepping away from college football with a career record of 156-102 and a 29-29 mark at Minnesota. Minnesota Interim Athletics Director Beth Goetz named Tracy Claeys Interim Head Coach this morning. Claeys, who has worked with Kill for 21 years, was previously Minnesota’s Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Wolves’ Flip Saunders dies at age 60

Wolves waive three players; roster down to 15

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team has waived guard Lorenzo Brown, center Kleon Penn and guard Nick Wiggins. With the moves, the Wolves training camp roster stands at 15 players. Brown, originally signed by the Wolves to a 10-day contract on January 28, registered averages of 4.2 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 13.1 minutes over five preseason contests. The 6’5 guard appeared in 29 games last season for the Wolves averaging 4.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 18.9 minutes per game.
